ResCare/CAKY and Metropolitan College
The Metropolitan College program for Community Alternatives Kentucky (CAKY)
employees provides tuition assistance
and student support and career development services for full-time CAKY Direct Care Providers who
attend Jefferson Community and Technical College or the University of Louisville.

The entrance requirements for each school are different.
To be eligible for Metropolitan College at UofL additional program requirements must be met.
- Consult the student checklist to make sure you’ve
completed any other requirements necessary to receive Metropolitan College benefits.

Benefits
Tuition remission for up to six (6) credit hours at the Kentucky resident rate in the fall and spring semesters and up to three
(3) credit hours in the summer terms at either Jefferson Community and Technical College or
the University of Louisville.
Participants must remain actively employed through a specified period each semester and successfully complete coursework with a grade of “C” or better
Participants receive an array of support services and career development assistance from the Metropolitan College Student Development Counselors.
