CAKY Student Checklist
Use the following checklist to make sure you don’t forget to do anything
necessary to get your tuition benefit.

*Online Planning Session
Students who are new to the program or are returning after being out for a year or
more must complete the online planning session.

Financial Aid
Although not required for the Metropolitan College/CAKY program, students are encouraged to
complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

|
Registration
Register for classes at your school. Students should meet with an academic advisor to
determine the best possible class selection prior to registering. Check the
UofL and
JCTC
websites for registration dates.

|
Sign Contract
Students should sign a student agreement (aka “the contract”)
prior to the tuition deadline set by their school to ensure tuition will be deferred.
This will prevent the student from having to pay out of pocket or risk classes being
dropped for non-payment.
