Humana Student Checklist

Use this checklist to make sure you haven’t forgotten to do anything. Each item must be completed once every semester or year as indicated. If you are not yet in the program see our Getting Started page.

First time participants

Online Planning Session

Students who are new to the program or are returning after being out for a year or more must complete the Online Planning Session.

Complete Each Year

Financial Aid

To receive benefits through Metropolitan College, students must apply for financial aid each academic year using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Complete Each Semester

Registration

Register for classes at your school. Students should meet with an academic advisor to determine the best possible class selection prior to registering. Check the UofL and JCTC websites for registration dates.

Sign Student Agreement

Students must sign a student agreement (aka "the contract") prior to the tuition deadline set by their school to ensure tuition will be deferred. This will prevent the student from having to pay out of pocket or risk classes being dropped for non-payment. Students who sign their student agreement after the tuition payment deadline will be required to pay their tuition up front and get reimbursed after the semester ends (provided all applicable conditions are met).
