School Admission Requirements
Note: Admission requirements differ from school to school and program to program.
University of Louisville:
Metropolitan College requires that students with less than 60 college credit hours who plan to
attend the University of Louisville be admissible to the University and have at least a 21
composite ACT score and a high school grade point average of 3.0 or greater.
Transfer Students
If you have earned a minimum of 60, transferable, college credits from an accredited college or
university, and you are in good academic standing with that institution, you may be admitted
to the U of L Metropolitan College program as a transfer student without meeting the ACT and
highschool GPA requirments.

Jefferson and Technical Community College
All new first-semester students must complete an Admissions Application, attend Orientation and
take the COMPASS Assessment. The COMPASS Assessment is a placement test consisting of English,
Mathematics and Reading. It will assist you and your advisor to determine which entry-level
courses are appropriate.
